🔎 RESEARCH
15 July 2026 21:13
🔎 RESEARCH: Most RWA discussions focus on issuance. But for private credit, the harder question is enforcement. Can investors recover funds if the borrower defaults?
If the answer depends only on a token, the structure is incomplete. Credit still lives in legal systems. Eightlends tested this directly.
Its parent, Maclear AG, recorded one default: an Italian company called Vibroedil, which entered insolvency in July 2025 after receiving a €150,000 loan. In no time, collateral recovery under Italian pledge law fully covered investors’ principal.
That is the difference between a token and an enforceable claim.

🤖 Claude’s behavior shifts by language and model
Anthropic analyzed 300,000 real dialogues with Claude and found its responses vary by language and model version. They identified four value axes: compliance vs caution, warmth vs strictness, depth vs brevity, and openness vs obedience.
Different Claude models lean differently. Sonnet 4.6 is warm and encouraging, Opus 4.7 is cautious and questioning, Opus 4.6 is brief and task-focused. Language also matters: Claude is softer and humorous in Hindi and Arabic, but strict and demanding in English and Russian.

⚡️ Lucid crashes on bankruptcy rumors, then denies the reports
Lucid ($LCID) plunged as much as 49% after reports claimed the EV maker was considering Chapter 11 bankruptcy or a move to go private. Trading was briefly halted as the stock hit a 52-week low, leaving it down nearly 80% over the past year.
The reports cited restructuring adviser AlixPartners, which was reportedly reviewing strategic options. They followed a difficult period for Lucid, including 1,500 layoffs, multiple executive departures, negative gross margins, and an $800 million draw from a Saudi-backed loan facility.
⠀
Hours later, Lucid denied the reports, saying it has sufficient liquidity, no special board committee has been formed, and AlixPartners has not recommended Chapter 11.

🚀 Japan tests reusable rocket RV-X
On July 11, Japan's space agency JAXA performed the first hop test of the reusable rocket RV-X at Noshiro. It rose 11 meters, moved 16 meters sideways, stayed stable, and landed softly in under a minute.
RV-X is 7.3 meters tall with a reinforced engine and four landing legs, developed with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. It aims to create a reusable successor to Japan's single-use H3 rocket to reduce launch costs.
The engine passed 165 static tests. Future tests will reach about 100 meters. This follows China’s recent recovery of a Long March 10B booster on a sea platform, showing faster progress in reusable rockets.
